Co-President of WaZabi Films, co-founded with Lorne Price in 2019. Previously Senior Vice President of Seville International, the international distribution division of Entertainment One, which she founded in 2002, she has represented a catalog of over 200 award-winning titles. Anick has also been Senior Director of Sales for Canada, USA and Japan at Cinar Corporation and Director of Sales for Buena Vista Entertainment, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.

Donato Rotunno

JURY

In 1995, Donato Rotunno co-founded the film production company Tarantula Luxembourg, then in 1996 Tarantula in Belgium. Gratuated from EAVE program in 1999, he co-produced many films selected and awarded in worldwide film festivals (including A piece of sky by B. Liénard, Fratricide by Y. Arslan, Private Property by J. Lafosse, A wedding by S. Streker and last year, Two of us by F. Meneghetti). Pursuing also his career as a director, Io sto bene, his third feature film is currently in post-production.

Marit Van Den Elshout

JURY

Marit van den Elshout studied Theatre – Film and Television at the University of Utrecht. Marit acted on several selection committees, including for the Rotterdam Media Fund, the Netherlands Film Fund (the feature film and co-productions committees) and the Dutch Cultural Media Fund. She worked as industry liaison for the Melbourne International Film Festival and has worked, among others, as advisor and international liaison on the establishment and development of Durban FilmMart.

Carolyne Boucher

Carolyne Boucher is a producer known for Féminin/Féminin, a popular web-series inspired by the Montreal lesbian community directed by Chloé Robichaud. In the last few years, she acted as producer on several web and TV series, including Georges est mort (Télé-Québec), Dominos (TV5 Unis), Trop 3 (Radio-Canada), Les Honorables 2 (TVA) and Survivre à ses enfants (Radio-Canada). Arsenal will be her first feature film.

Pier-Philippe Chevigny

ARSENAL


Pier-Philippe Chevigny is a young filmmaker from Montreal, Quebec. His films share a common signature, combining sociopolitical subject matter with suspenseful writing and intense, often frantic camerawork. For the past few years, his short films have received international attention, with Vétérane and Rebel being selected in numerous world-class festivals including TIFF, FNC, Clermont-Ferrand, Namur and Busan.

Geneviève Gosselin-G.

Geneviève Gosselin-G. is a producer from Montreal, Quebec. She served as producer on Philippe Lesage’s second feature film Genesis, which premiered at Locarno, and went on to win several prestigious awards (Los Cabos, Vallodolid, Namur). She also produced several short films, including Pier-Philippe Chevigny’s Vétérane and Rebel, and is currently developing Alexa-Jeanne Dubé's Fantômes and Marianne Métivier's Une Splendeur de vivre.

For the last 15 years, Isabelle Couture has produced numerous award-winning documentaries such as THE AMINA PROFILE and ALPHÉE OF THE STARS, as well as ANTIGONE, Canada's contender for Best International Feature Film at the 2020 Academy Awards.

Born on the Caribbean Sea, Virginia arrived in Montreal at the age of 6 where she was exposed to many artistic disciplines. She studied theatre before continuing on to university in classical guitar. After graduating from L'inis, she adopted film as her preferred medium, combining her sensitivity for the human psyche, poetry, music and the visual arts. Her short films have competed in renowned festivals, locally and abroad. SAILING OFF THE EDGE is her first feature.

Elaine Hebert

Since 2005, Élaine Hébert has produced many celebrated films, notably the feature-length FOR THOSE WHO DON’T READ ME and ALL THAT WE MAKE. Her most recent short film, Olivia Boudreau’s THE POND, AT NIGHT, is premiering at this year's FNC.

Meryam Joobeur

MOTHERHOOD


Meryam is a Montreal based academy- award nominated filmmaker of Tunisian origin. Her recent film Brotherhood screened in over 150 festivals, winning 75+ international prizes including a nomination for the 92nd Academy Awards for “Best live action short.”
She co-founded the Tunisian film production company Instinct Bleu with producer Sarra Ben Hassen in 2019 with the aim to develop young Tunisian Talent.

Founded in 2010, Midi La Nuit produces audacious, visually eloquent films. The company is directed by Montreal producers Annick Blanc and Maria Gracia Turgeon. They have produced short films such as Brotherhood (Oscars 2020), The Colour of your Lips (Best Austin Fantastic Fest 2019), Fauve (Oscars 2019), How Tommy Lemenchick Became A Grade 7 Legend (Tribeca 2018), PRE-DRINK (Best Canadian Short TIFF 2017), Plain and Simple (FNC Grand Prize 2016) and Nowhere Elsewhere (Best fiction Palm Springs Short Fest 2011).

Voyelles Films’ primary mission is to give life the images and stories of young local talent. Producers Ménaïc Raoul, Gabrielle Tougas-Fréchette and Guillaume Vasseur work hard to make miraculous moments in their cinema, may it be through grand or modest means. Their work has found audiences in Quebec as well as around the world, from Canne’s official competition to the forests of Abitibi.
The company’s future is prosperous, as they are currently working on their fifth feature length film.

Halima Ouardiri

Canadian-Swiss-Moroccan writer / director Halima Ouardiri is a graduate of the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in Montreal. Her first film, Mokhtar, was acclaimed in more than 100 international festivals has won numerous awards. Clebs, her new documentary-short, won the Crystal Bear and the Special Jury Prize at the Berlinale 2020. It continues its career in international festivals. The Camel Driving School, produced by Indie Prod and Art & Essai, is her first feature film.

Gabrielle Demers

QUERELLE DE ROBERVAL

Born in Lévis. Gabriel Demers holds a bachelor's degree in media arts and film. Her first two films (La Ronde de Minuit, Mauve Eyelid) have won several awards and have been presented in several international festivals. She also made The Pornographer, which premiered at Rhode Island International Film Festival and has been screened at many LGBTQIA + festivals around the world. His most recent film Les Blonds received support from SODEC and will be filmed in 2021.

Nellie Carrier

In 2016, Nellie produced her first feature film, SASHINKA by Kristina Wagenbauer, (FNC, Seattle int. Film festival, Canadian Screen awards, IRIS 2019). In 2017, she created the company Cinquième maison where she made several short films, including Amies (TIFF 2018) and Looking for a strong woman (best short film Berlin film fest., 3 prix prends ça court).

Raphaël Ouellet

If Raphaël was a fruit, he would be a pineapple. Thorny on the outside but pleasant and
sweet on the inside (although a bit fibrous). His short Plain and Simple (2015) won the FNC Grand Prize and was nominated for a Canadian screen award; E (2016) won best short film at Longue Vue sur le court and was selected at Slamdance. In photography, he won more than 50 awards over the world, including prestigious institutions such as CLIO, PDN, Communication Arts and American Photography.

Sarianne Cormier

Sarianne has directed four short films : The Remains (2012), Amazing Grace (2015), Amour amour (2017) and The Light Years (2018). She is presently writing her first feature film Au revoir Pluton.
As an actress, she performed in L’Affaire Dumont (Podz), Miraculum (Podz), Chorus (François Delisle), Le Coeur de Madame Sabali (Ryan McKenna), Les Scènes Fortuites (Guillaume Lambert), Mad Dog Labine (Jonathan Beaulieu-Cyr and Renaud Lessard) and The 20th Century (Matthew Rankin).
