In the American Old West of 1874, a town where everyone seems to be named Johnson is in the way of the railroad. In order to grab their land, Hedley Lemar, a politically connected nasty person, sends in his henchmen to make the town unlivable. After the sheriff is killed, the town demands a new sheriff from the Governor. Hedley convinces him to send the town the first Black sheriff in the west. Bart is a sophisticated urbanite who will have some difficulty winning over the townspeople.
An hysterical comedy signed by Mel Brooks (Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, etc.), a classic of happy and intelligent dementia, a succession of gags and a beautiful reflexion about the American society. A timeless and worship movie which will seduce public from 7 to 77 years old. Unavoidable !
The programming of Place de la Paix is a presentation of the Société des arts technologiques and Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles, in collaboration with arrondissement de Ville-Marie, Labo-culinaire Foodlab and Mixsessions.
