Alexi lives in a secluded cabin along a lake. Prone to frequent seizures, his excursions into the woods are as much a necessary survival ritual as a vigorous communion with nature. his blind mother, absent father and younger brother appear escape his scrutinizing gaze. only his sister hege can penetrate the despair engendered by the ongoing betrayal by his body. Grandrieux revisits the notion of cinema without borders, removing the boundaries between nations and cultures, sound and image, light and matter, rationality and instinct.
