Newport, October 1990. A trailer in front of route 132. In front, the sea. Behind, a field surrounded by hundred-year-old trees. Alice and her father Benoit live in this tiny space. A month ago, Marie (mother, wife) died. Alice and Benoit must learn to live together. In their new daily lives, a dress takes life, reminding the presence of the mother by its movements. Through the dress, Alice forgets her sadness, but Benoit, worried by the behavior of his daughter, does not want to leave her alone and takes her out on the sea, to fish cod.
